Melita

The Melita Group is a diversified telecommunications provider offering home entertainment and telecommunications services to consumer and business customers throughout the Republic of Malta. The Melita group of companies offers IP-based digital cable TV, broadband Internet, fixed-line telephony, and mobile voice and data services. It also owns and operates an undersea submarine optical fiber cable. The Melita group of companies includes Melita Plc, Melita Mobile Ltd., Melita Capital plc, Melita Infrastructure Ltd, and Melita Media Ltd.

Altern

Altern is a firm of the Abertax group which owns one other company, called Kemtronics. Altern specializes in sustainable energies. Currently, it is a very wide field, from energy audits in Maltese local councils to the design of large projects of photovoltaic pannel installations. My mentor, Mr. Spitteri, is the main manager of the company. I have worked on several projects; the first consisted in making flowcharts for the ISO documentation of Kemtronics. Since 4 weeks I now work on a very big PV pannel installation of about 350 modules. I participated in several energy audits. I am hoping to work on a LED project before I come back to France.

Pourquoi partir à Malte?

Partir à l’étranger est une expérience enrichissante pour tous les étudiants. Quand l’opportunité de partir à Malte s’est présentée, il nous a paru important de ne pas passer à coté d'une telle occasion, afin de connaitre une autre façon de concevoir l’entreprise, d'avoir acces à des savoirs faire différents et de pratiquer l’anglais au quotidien. 
Bien sûr, Malte constitue aussi une destination séduisante de par ses paysages, sa météo, sa vie de nuit. Quelques mois plus tard, nous voilà au milieu de la Méditerranée et malgré quelques problèmes qui font parti de ce type de périple, aucun de nous ne regrette ce choix.

Note pour les futurs étudiants : les bourses Erasmus stage et Explo'ra ne sont pas cumulables. Si vous postulez au deux vous ne pourrez recevoir que l'Erasmus.
